高雄美濃 秀梅粄條 Kaohsiung-Pig Hock and Haka noodles
in the photo (which are also recommended):
Pig hock 豬腳,
Hakka saute vegetables 客家小炒,
Vegetables rolls 高麗菜封,
boiled squids 魷魚,
Sliced gingers with intestines 薑絲炒大腸 (this one is my favorite but it tastes VERY sour)
the 粄條 Haka noodles (Dried noodles) is also recommended, and the
米粉湯"angel hair" (thinner noodles soup) is my mum's favorite!
Have you ever heard of "Hakka Food"? "Hakka Culture" is a tradition clan in Asia. Their symbol characteristics are "conservative, calm ,and frugal". They have their own language, living style, and special cuisines.
At the end of this Mid Autumn Fest. I went to Mei Nung (美濃), Kaohsiung with my family. Mei Nung is a district in Kaohsiung which is full of "Haka culture" (客家文化).
Today, I want to recommend you a local and traditional restaurant which my family always visit!
After tasting the delicious dishes here, you can drive around the town and experience the Haka culture in the "Mei Nung Folk Village" (美濃民俗村).
